the test that talks back
Happy Monday

Introduce the strategy, one letter at a time.

Before students ever face a full test, let them master each PROVE move on its own. Assign a strategy activity exactly like a test: pick a grade, get a join code, watch the work come in.

P Strategy Intro · question dissection

Students see real STAAR-style questions and answer choices, but never a passage. The whole job is learning to read the question: four moves per stem, ending with a PAT ("Pay Attention To") entry. By the last question they have built a full PAT list, the exact skill the P step needs on test day.

The tool talks back at every move: it confirms catches, nudges misses, and reveals the model rewrite, the model PAT entry, and the skill each question was really testing. About 2-3 minutes per question. Assigning works exactly like a test: you pick the number of questions, get a join code, and results land in My Tests.

Practice it yourself first · no student needed

Try it yourself runs the real student experience in practice mode, nothing is recorded. Answer key view lays every question flat: key words, definitions, model rewrite, and model PAT entry on one page, perfect for planning or projecting. Teachers without a PROVE it! account can run this too: the printable directions page has grade-by-grade practice links that work with no login.
